Seville Cathedral was built on the site of a mosque. This mosque was constructed between 1172 and 1198 by order of Caliph Abu Yaqub Yusuf. When Seville was reconquered by Ferdinand III, this Almohad mosque was converted into a Christian cathedral, respecting the original architectural structure.
The construction of the Royal Alcázar is marked by the passage of Seville's history and the diversity of cultures and sovereigns that have passed through it, from the Umayyad period to Peter I. Walking through its gardens, its myrtle and orange tree paths, is an unparalleled pleasure. It has been chosen as a setting for major productions, such as the series "Game of Thrones."
With our guided tour, you will take a journey through time, exploring these two emblematic monuments. The tour also includes admission tickets.
