Discover El Caminito del Rey path, one of the charmest natural attractions in Andalusia. The landscape and the amazing views will be one of the most incredible souvenirs that you can take from the south of Spain.

El Caminito del Rey Path is a route built at the beginning of the XX century suspended in the air in the  walls of the gorge at more than a hundred meters high above the river. It is located in the villages of Alora, Ardales and Antequera ,in Málaga province.The path is narrow with less than one metre wide in some sections.

The route had 7.7 kilometers, but following its restauration in 2015, has today a three kilometers long pedestrian walkay , built on the walls of the gorge “ Desfiladero de los Gaitanes”. It is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Málaga province, and is located just 30 kilometers from Málaga city.

In this route, you will know about the origins. who built the path and who important was its discovery for Malaga province.

This pintoresque path was born to connect the way bewteen El Salto del Chorro ( El Chorro Precipice) and and El Salto de los Gaitanes (Gaitanejo Precipice) for the maintenance workers of the Hydroelectric company El Chorro.

You will feel the adrenalin in your body, and at the same time you will enjoy the nature and the landscapes of one of the longest natural sites in Málaga province.

During the route, an specialized tour guide will tell you the history, anecdotes and curiosities of this pintoresque and unique place.

Meeting point: Discovering Spain Office (Plaza de las Descalzas, 3).

- Wear confortable clothes and shoes.

- Bring water.

- You must wait for the guide at the meeting point. Do not access the Caminito del Rey circuit on your own, as the guide must exchange your voucher for tickets to the circuit.
