Seville’s Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, also known as the "Magna Hispalensis", is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world by surface area. In 1987, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with the Royal Alcázar and the General Archive of the Indies. It also received the designation of Site of Outstanding Universal Value in 2010. The cathedral was built in the 15th century over the remains of the city’s former Great Mosque, of which the minaret (now the Giralda) and the Patio of the Orange Trees are still preserved.
This temple houses an invaluable artistic and historical heritage. It is also the final resting place of several prominent historical figures, such as Christopher Columbus, and kings of Castile including Pedro I the Cruel, Ferdinand III the Saint, and his son Alfonso X the Wise.
Join us on this guided tour to discover the monumental grandeur of one of Seville’s most iconic landmarks. Be amazed by its interior chapels, courtyards, paintings, and sculptures, and of course, by the famous legend of the crocodile.
We’ll finish the visit by climbing the Giralda, the city’s most emblematic tower, where you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Seville’s historic city center.
An unforgettable experience.
