We will visit a traditional olive mill in the Lecrín Valley. Once there, we will explore all the stages of extra virgin olive oil production. Did you know that Andalusia is the world’s largest producer of this liquid gold?
During our visit to this mill in Nigüelas, where we will see a 15th-century mill, we will learn how the different stages of the olive’s journey are carried out. First comes the harvesting in the storage bins, followed by crushing, then pressing, and finally the sale of the oil.
The visit concludes with a tasting of two types of extra virgin olive oil. These EVOOs will allow you to discover new sensations, flavors, and aromas. In addition, we will prepare a salad dressing with vinegar, salts, and flavored oils, learning the differences between various olive oils and which ones are best for cooking each dish.
