The Benedictine monastery of Sant Benet de Bages, is one of the best preserved medieval monastic sites in Catalonia. It's located in the municipal boundary of Sant Fruitós de Bages. It was opened in 2007 as Món Sant Benet. Its medieval heritage and architectural splendour has been recovered.

In this day trip, we'll visit this enchanting monastery, and taste local wines like DO Pla de Bages.

Lenght: 9 hours approximately.

Tour Schedule:

8:30 am. Departure from Barcelona (La Pedrera)

10:00 am. Arrival in Món Sant Benet.

Guided tour in the Medieval Monstery. We'll going to explore into monastery's life, where you will feel how daily life in the monastery was.

Tasting of local wines: Wine tasting of the winery mas oller (DO Pla de Bages). We'll taste and discover one of the wineries with longest tradition in Catalonia.

1:00 pm: Traditional lunch at la Fonda Restaurant (optional).

Free time until 4:00 pm.

4:00 pm. Departure to Barcelona.

5:30 pm. Arrival in Barcelona (La Pedrera).

Dates and departure time:

Monday and Saturday, at 8:30 am (from 1st April to 31th October).

Thursday, at 8:30 am (from 1st June to 30th September).

Languages available: Spanish and English.

Starting point: La Pedrera – Casa Milà. Carrer Provença, 261-265 (Barcelona). The guide will be carrying a red umbrella. Please, arrive at the departure point 10 minutes earlier. Routes depart prompt at the scheduled time.
