Compromiso de calidad turística is a quality distinction which recognises the effort made in a destination in continuous improvement of its products and services quality, aiming to enhance the tourist experience and satisfaction. It is promoted by a Spanish government body (Secretaría de Estado de Turismo).
This distinction is a guarantee that the touristic facilities available offer a high level of homogeneous quality not only for a given company, but for the destination as a whole. For that puropose, a series of defined standards (both common and specific for each sector) is met.
