Ultimate Dalí Small Group Tour from Barcelona

Spend the morning at the unique Dali museum in Figueres and finish the day on his beloved Costa Brava, visiting his home in Port Lligat and the magnificent Cap de Creus.

This tour offers you much more than just a Dali-Museum Tour as we will visit places that other tours leave behind.

To avoid the crowds in Cadaques during the heat of the summer, we will visit the Dali house in Port Lligat and the Pubol Castle, the magnificent gift that Dali offerend to his beloved wife.

Details

Duration: Full day.

Schedule: Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 8.30 am.

We will depart from Barcelona at 8:30 am from the office on Carrer Palau de la Musica 1 and go to Figueres, the birthplace of Dali and home of the world famous Dali Museum-Theatre.

In winter (from 15th September to 30th June):

We will head for the beautiful coastal village of Cadaques, famous for its white washed Mediterranean house, narrow shady streets, and sandy bay. This is one of the most picturesque villages on the Costa Brava.

For lunch, you can taste local seafood specialities at one of the numerous terraces facing the Mediterranean, or grab a sandwich and just relax and appreciate why this place inspired so many artists.

After having lunch, we will travel just a few minutes up the coast to the even smaller village of Port Lligat, the place where Dali sought the peace and quiet that truly inspired him.

The house of Port Lligat should be considered as his only true home. That was the place where he painted the majority of his great works.
Finally, we will move on to Cap de Creus, the most easterly point of mainland Spain and one of the most starkly beautiful coastal landscapes.

We will leave around 5:00 pm and arrive in Barcelona around 7:00 pm.

In summer (from 1st July to 14th September):

In the morning, the summer tour follows the same itinerary as the winter one, but it differs after leaving the museum.
After the visit, we will head for the village of Pubol, where there will be opportunities enough to eat in a traditional Catalan restaurant.

After lunch you can visit another Dali masterpiece: Pubol Castle.

In mid afternoon the tour will continue to Platge de Castell, one of those exotic hidden corners that you can still find on the Costa Brava.
This rocky coastline has been preserved from the construction of high buildings and large scale tourism projects. That’s why it still preserves the wild aspect that gave the name to Costa Brava.

There is no better homage to Dali and no better way to finish the day than discovering the turquoise water of the Mediterranean.

We will leave around 5.00 pm and arrive in Barcelona around 7.00 pm.

Meeting Point: office on Carrer Palau de la Musica, 1 (Barcelona), just off Via Laietana. The nearest metro is Urquinaona (L1 & L4).
The guide carrying a red umbrella. Please, be at the departure point 10 minutes earlier. Routes depart promptly at the scheduled time.
