Guided Climb on the Classic Normal Route of La Morcilla (Los Cahorros, Monachil). 150 m, 6 pitches, grade V+. A unique adventure among rock and nature with full safety.
Objectives:
– Experience your first rock climb on single-pitch bolted routes.
– Learn to tie the figure-eight knot and use a Grigri for safe belaying.
– Practice belaying a partner climbing on top-rope.
– Get to know basic sport climbing equipment.
– Learn the essential knots for sport climbing (figure-eight knot).
– Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for sports activities and the season.
– Bring a backpack (approx. 30 L).
– Carry 1 L of water.
– Bring food.
– Use sunscreen.
Target audience: People who want to get started in outdoor rock climbing or artificial climbing walls.
Itinerary:
Approach
– Departure from the parking area (Era de los Portachuelos).
– 15-minute walk along the river trail to the hanging bridge.
– The route begins just to the right, on the main wall.
Climb
– Pitch 1 (V, 20 m): bolted slab, technical moves up to the first belay.
– Pitch 2 (V, 20 m): continuation of the slab, can be linked with Pitch 1.
– Pitch 3 (II+, 10 m): short step, well-protected, reaching the base of the next wall.
– Pitch 4 (IV+, 25 m): dihedral and crack, requires cams/nuts, belay at a ledge with a tree.
– Pitch 5 (V, 30 m): athletic move at the start, bolted, then easier climbing up to the base of “La Morcilla.”
– Pitch 6 (V+, 30 m): trad protection, includes an old piton and medium-sized cams.
Summit and return
– Photos and a break at the top of the route, with views of Los Cahorros gorge and Sierra Nevada.
– One 60-meter rappel, a short downclimb, and another 60-meter rappel to reach the dam near the large bridge of Los Cahorros.
– 15-minute walk along a marked trail back to the parking area.

Certifications
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation or modification requests must be made via a message through the booking page on MiReservaOnline.es so that there is a written record of the date and time of the request.
99% of the paid amount will be refunded (a 1% fee will be charged for administrative costs) if the cancellation is made at least 7 days before the start of the experience.
No refund will be given if the cancellation is made within 7 days of the experience (except with a medical certificate), or if the client does not show up.
